GHIORSI & SORRENTI INC. RETAINED TO CONDUCT
A PLANNING STUDY FOR VASSAR BROTHERS MEDICAL CENTER
Plans Call For New Center for Ambulatory Services
Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC) in Poughkeepsie, New York has retained Ghiorsi & Sorrenti Inc. to conduct a planning study in advance of a capital campaign that will help fund a new Center for Ambulatory Services, it was announced by the New Jersey-based fund raising and public relations firm.
The Medical Center, an affiliate of Health Quest, the Mid-Hudson Valley's largest healthcare system, is making a $66 million investment in a 78,000 square-foot medical arts building featuring a state-of-the-art same-day medical/surgical procedure center, medical offices, and additional parking. Patients will have access to four state-of-the-art operating suites and a special-procedure room in the new stand-alone ambulatory facility. A dedicated 875-spot parking deck will be built adjacent to the Center to provide ease of parking for same-day ambulatory patients and their families.
The Center for Ambulatory Services is the first step in a VBMC master plan that includes life-changing and life-saving research through clinical trials, clinical training in a teaching environment, and the construction of a spacious patient tower that will incorporate a private-room model of care for patients and families.
Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a private, non-profit, 365-bed hospital that has served New York’s mid-Hudson Valley since 1887 and offers an impressive range of vital primary, secondary and tertiary medical and surgical services.
