SELF REGIONAL HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION ENGAGES
GHIORSI & SORRENTI AS CAMPAIGN COUNSEL
Free-Standing Cancer Center Planned
Self Regional Healthcare (SRH) in Greenwood, South Carolina is embarking on a major expansion and enhancement of their renowned cancer services and their Healthcare Foundation has retained Ghiorsi & Sorrenti Inc. as capital campaign counsel, it was announced by the New Jersey-based fund raising and public relations firm.
SRH is making a $25.7 million investment to improve and expand its care to the community, beginning with a stand-alone Cancer Center, featuring a new Linear Accelerator, adjacent to the main hospital, and a new BrainSUITE for sophisticated neurosurgery procedures. With a capital campaign planning study now completed, The SRH Foundation seeks to raise $10 million toward the capital improvement project, and another $5 million to establish an endowment, through Forever Self…The Campaign for Self Regional Healthcare.
Self Regional is a nationally recognized Medical Center that serves as the referral hospital for the South Carolina region known as the Lakelands. It has been recognized for distinguished service by HealthGrades, ranking in the top 10 percent in the nation for clinical excellence in Gastrointestinal Surgery and Orthopedic Services, and in the top 5 percent in the nation for Neurosurgery, specifically spine surgery (fusion and nonfusion).
Today, Self Regional’s cancer services offer leading-edge radiation equipment with two state-of-the-art linear accelerators, a superficial X-ray therapy unit, and IMRT technology, which provides precision in attacking cancer. The Medical and Surgical Oncology units provide a wide range of ahead-of-the-curve services with expertise in cancer of the breast, colon, lung, head and neck, as well as bladder and urinary tract cancer.
