GHIORSI & SORRENTI, INC. WELCOMES
BOZEMAN DEACONESS HOSPITAL TO CLIENT ROSTER
Ghiorsi & Sorrenti Inc. has recently been engaged as capital campaign counsel by Bozeman Deaconess Foundation in Bozeman, Montana, it was announced today by the New Jersey-based fund raising and public relations firm.
Located in the bucolic Gallatin Valley, Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is moving forward with a major project to address the steady population growth in the area. Plans call for a significant expansion of the Emergency Department that will double its size and substantially increase capacity, and an expansion of the Maternal Newborn Department to address the needs for more LDRP space.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to partner with such a quality healthcare facility,” said Peter Ghiorsi, Chairman and CEO of Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc., who was selected by the Bozeman Deaconess Foundation from among 26 firms after a rigorous national search to serve as capital campaign counsel. “GSI continues to expand into new regions across the country, and our relationship with Bozeman Deaconess Hospital opens an important strategic market for us."
Bozeman Deaconess has been diligent in its approach to the extraordinary growth through the years. In Gallatin County where Bozeman is located, the population is expected to rise from more than 70,000 today to more than 100,000 in 2010, mirroring a pattern of recent years. In 1999, BDH completed two additions to the existing hospital building, including a new 10-bed emergency department providing additional space and increased patient privacy in a state-of-the-art facility. A Cardiac Catheterization Lab opened in 2003 and a new surgery suite was constructed in 2005.
Emergency visits have increased dramatically from 15,000 visits in 1997 to 24,000 today, and projections indicate they will increase to more than 30,000 by 2010, underscoring the need for an emergency expansion. Also, with the great influx of new residents, many of them young families, a need for more space for mothers and newborns has developed quickly. Bozeman Deaconess seeks to help support this major project with an unprecedented capital campaign. As the first step in that process, GSI has recently completed a successful campaign planning study.
“We’re proud to play a role in the burgeoning development of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital,” said Dan Sorrenti, President and Chief Operating Officer of Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc. “They are responding pro-actively to their community’s need long-term, and we are happy to join with them on this urgent campaign.”
