BOYS TOWN JOINS GHIORSI & SORRENTI, INC. FAMILY OF CLIENTS
Youth Care and Healthcare Organization Plans New and Enhanced Facilities
Boys Town, the national, nonprofit, nonsectarian youth care and health care organization founded 90 years ago by the legendary Father Edward Flanagan, has engaged Ghiorsi & Sorrenti Inc. (GSI) as fund- raising counsel, it was announced today by the New Jersey-based fund raising and public relations firm.
Ghiorsi & Sorrenti will help create a national strategic development plan which includes capital and fund-raising strategies to help Boys Town expand its services nationwide.
Boys Town is taking bold steps to implement a progressive, Continuum of Child and Family Services, linking its youth care and health care programs and providing children and families with the right care at the right time.
Boys Town began as a small home for homeless boys has grown into a nationwide organization with affiliated sites serving children and families in more than a dozen states and the District of Columbia. Boys Town's National Headquarters is located at the world-famous, historic Village of Boys Town in Nebraska, home to the Boys Town National Research Hospital which provides nationally-oriented clinical and surgical services. In addition to its direct care programs, Boys Town assists nearly 1.4 million children and families annually through the Boys Town National Hotline and other outreach and training programs.
Boys Town is working with GSI to help fund its news system of care with the intent of changing the way America cares for its abused, abandoned, neglected and at-risk children. Its plans are to double the number of children in its youth care programs and increasing health care programs by 20 percent. Nearly 40 percent of Boys Town annual budget comes from fund-raising activities.
